StarNexus Science Press · Permissions, Reuse, and Copyright

StarNexus Science Press is committed to open access and the protection of intellectual property. This page outlines the rights granted to authors and readers, the licensing framework, and the permissions required for reusing content published under our press.

1. Copyright and License

All books, monographs, and edited volumes published by StarNexus Science Press are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license:

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work.
  • Readers and users are permitted to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source.
  • The license applies worldwide and is perpetual.
Attribution requirement: When reusing any content, users must cite the original publication with full bibliographic details (title, author(s), publisher, DOI, and license information).

2. Author Rights

Authors who publish with StarNexus Science Press retain the following rights:

  • Copyright ownership: Full copyright of the work remains with the author(s).
  • Reuse and distribution: Authors may share, post, and distribute their work in any format, including institutional repositories, personal websites, and social media, without restriction.
  • Adaptation: Authors may create derivative works, translations, or new editions without seeking additional permission.
  • Commercial use: Authors may use their work for commercial purposes, provided they do not imply that StarNexus Science Press endorses the commercial product or activity.

3. Permissions for Third-Party Content

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reuse any third-party content included in their manuscript (e.g., figures, tables, photographs, or extensive quotations). Permissions must be secured before submitting the final manuscript to StarNexus Science Press.

  • Authors must provide written evidence of permission to reuse third-party material upon submission or during production.
  • All third-party materials must be properly credited and accompanied by a copyright notice or citation, as required by the original publisher.
  • The press reserves the right to refuse publication if third-party permissions are not in order.

4. Republication and Translation Rights

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, any third party may republish or translate a work, provided proper attribution is given to the original author and the source. No separate permission is required from the press or the author for such reuse, as long as the terms of the license are met.

If you are interested in publishing a translation or a republication of a work that is not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license (e.g., a reprint of a previously published work with a different license), please contact the editorial office to discuss rights permissions.

5. Institutional and Reuse Requests

For inquiries about institutional reuse, course packs, or any use of content beyond the scope of the CC BY 4.0 license, please contact the editorial office.

We aim to respond to all reuse requests within 5 business days and support educational and scholarly uses of our publications.
