Projo Danoedoro is a Professor of Geographical Remote Sensing at the Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), focusing on landscape ecology, land-cover/land-use, and terrain analysis. With 40 years in remote sensing, he was formally inaugurated as Professor in Remote Sensing for Land Ecology on 13 February 2024. His research focuses on remote sensing methods development and applications for urban biophysical environment, land-cover/land-use change and prediction, crop production estimate, vegetation structure and species composition, biomass and carbon storage estimates, wildlife habitat assessment and management, as well as landslide and erosion modelling.
